We get an accelerated review from the leader of the sole tour group  that was visiting the awe-inspiring temples and ruins along Egypt’s Nile  River Valley late last November into December. After introductions and  appreciative nods to the inspiring work of John Anthony West and Graham  Hancock, and the ever-present relation to the catastrophic events of the Younger Dryas, we get to go along to many sites that were explored,  including several that haven’t been accessible for decades. Ben generously shares images and videos of the polished granite boxes in the Serapeum, the intricate stonework and artistry at the Temple of Hathor, the megaliths at the Osireion and the giant statues at Ramesseum, and much more… What a soul-stirring gift he has provided!

  • That was such an amazing time. Relived the trip by listening this this podcast. Visiting Egypt was a pivotal part of my life and I would love to go again but I have some other things on that list too. The Appalachians are calling me.

  • There are many known archaeologic sites that appear to have been mistakenly attributed to "modern" cultures, i.e., dating to the period SINCE the rise of Sumer, Hittite, Akkadia, et cetera. <||] (•) [||> There are at least FOUR distinctive major architectural styles that appear to be distinct PRE-Inca cultures, but modern academics insist that all of them were developed and used by the Inca, during their brief empire, and NOT by any Other Culture. In particular, three examples: (1) Tihuanacu and Puma Punku with their uncanny precision-engineered and drilled stone "H" blocks, appear to have been a civilization of far greater antiquity, which was destroyed in a quake and titanic Tsunami of MUD, so far in the past that even the local cultures have no identifiable myths referring to the disaster. (2) A culture that carved steps and doors, terraces and niches in the solid granite hills and mountainsides, so far in the remote past that some shattered thousand ton remnants with staircases and terraces are found hurled around ancient communities completely inverted and sundered by some ancient earthquake. Later, these were found by more recent cultures who honored those sites by building their own ceremonial architecture around and among the smashed wreckage, and then disappeared in their turn. (3) Some culture that long ago worked out earthquake resistant rock wall construction using interlocking megalithic irregular-shaped blocks with joins and seams so tight that the most extreme seismic events known to have struck South America since pre-historic times have not toppled them -- i.e., Sacsayhuaman, the Qorriconcha, and the most sophisticated portions of Machu Picchu as well-known examples. <||]0[||> This amazingly robust style of multi-angled uniquely shaped interlocking "jigsaw" stone blocks -- some that form interior angles around corners and doorways -- can be seen in remarkably similar walls AROUND THE WORLD: The Emperor's Palaces, Japan; ancient walls along streets in Italy; temples on the Mediterranean Island of Malta; Fortresses in India; the Hittite capital of Hattusa; the "cyclopean" wall remnants within sight of the Acropolis at Athens, Greece; Some structures around the pyramids on the Giza Plateau, Egypt; and even wall remnants on for-Pete's-sake EASTER ISLAND, which archaeologists insist was only populated 1500 years ago. <||]0[||> Of course, the academics all pinky-swear that those cultures could NOT possibly have been in contact with each other so they completely ignore the IMPOSSIBLE sameness of those walls.

  • It's sad to see how the community of Egyptologists have put on "blinders" to any concept or evidence that challenges their fragile construct of history. The problem seems to be that in the two centuries -- since the time of Napoleon, really -- the "discipline" they have been building has become walled off from all the sciences. Well, for most of that time, none of them have been questioned by any outside their discipline, about the timeline, or the translations, or the dating of Any damn thing. They were answerable ONLY to other Egyptologists. With the exception of a scant handful exceptional individuals -- f'rinstance, Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie --- the number of credentialed Egyptologists has always been vanishingly small who have any working knowledge of engineering, architecture, chemistry, astronomy, mathematics, agronomy, economics, electronics, geology, hydrology, meteorology, physics, statistics, or even fer-Pete's-sake carpentry, plumbing, organizational behavior or stonemasonry. Mostly, their PhD studies seem to comprise Hieroglyphics, Art, History, and one or two modern languages so they can read what other Egyptologists have written. < | | ] 0 [ | | > The haphazard demonstrations they have occasionally cobbled together to "prove" their absurd hypotheses about how the ancients accomplished the titanic structures have been embarrassingly ludicrous and ineffectual. < | | ] 0 [ | | > You finally have to conclude that it must take an astounding amount of intellectual energy to DENY all the evidence of an earlier epoch of human civilization. But the relentlessly emerging evidence of a much deeper history than they dare to acknowledge will force them to awaken and begin to appreciate the far richer heritage of the human experience we are beginning to discern. < | | ] 0 [ | | > Otherwise, they will end up on the manure pile of history, and Egyptology will become just another discredited belief system like craniometry. < | | ] 0 [ | | > One article I've read identified the vandal who dynamited one of the astoundingly sophisticated granite boxes in the Serapeum as French Archaeologist Auguste Marriette, exploring the place about 1851 or so... Hmmmm. But Nobel didn't start marketing Dynamite until 1875... somebody messed up.
