Here's my 1956 Century Resorter 18'.  I spent close to 3 years restoring this boat, almost on a daily basis.  I has a Chrysler Crown Flathead 6 marine engine, model M47.  It came with a M47S, S meaning special which had a manifold that contained two carburetors.  But after it was up and running she overheated.  Further investigation showed that the inside of the manifold was rusted out...the only replacement manifold we could find on the planet was a single carbureted one.  This reduced the horsepower from 135hp to 125hp, but she still fly's through the water....   It now has a 3M 5200 bottom, with Okoume Plywood used over half of the boats bottom where it's the flattest..the rest is steam bent Mahogany up at the front where she curves. All of the metals have been rechromed, gauges sent in and redone along with a new gas tank...  I purchased a sewing machine from Sailrite along with all the vinyl and foam to redo all the upholstery...
