Avebury, Silbury Hill & Some Old Crop Circles

Avebury rivals Stonehenge as the most impressive and complex ancient site in Britain. Avebury is a huge circular bank and ditch, roughly 375 meters across, estimated to be 4500 years old.. Within this 'henge' ditch is an inner circle of great standing stones, enclosing two more stone circles, each with a central feature. The countryside is swallowing up other sites nearby.
Silbury Hill is a mound with a 5 acre base and is 39.6m (130ft) high and is the tallest man made mound in Europe...(maybe). It took an estimated 18 million man hours to build.
Crop circles have popped up frequently in this area and l found a few without even looking for them.
