I intro my latest and last Shroud of Turin series. First is something I have never discussed. The Faiyum Mummy portraits found near Hawara by Flinders Petrie over 100 years ago. Starting in the mid-late 1rst century elite Greco-Roman burials were depicted with the living image on the burial linen.
