If you used the Alternate Workflow to capture your images, then you should only have a few dozen 4 minute exposures. We can edit and stack these photos fairly easily in Photoshop to create the final Star Trails photo.

If you want the most control over your star trails image, then Photoshop is the best option. However, this takes a very powerful computer to pull off. I'd recommend using the Alternate Workflow to make things easier during this tutorial.
Sequator is a free program for Windows users. It's another fast, easy way to create a star trails image. The workflow is almost identical to StarStaX too.
StarStaX is the perfect software for creating your first Star Trail image. The interface is easy to use, and it should only take a few minutes. We'll need to process the RAW photos first though, with the help of Camera RAW or Lightroom.
The most frustrating part about editing a Star Trails photo is removing all of the plane trails. You may have hundreds of images to go through, each with multiple plane trails that need to be removed.
