Mauritanian style Henna design on full palm.

This video takes you from the thick clay-like consistency (that we made in order to allow the dye content to release), to the pudding-like consistency.

Always remove your Henna paste with oil (not water). I use the back of a spoon to scrape the oiled paste off. Try not to get your new stain wet within the first 24 hours after removing the paste.

This is the paste removal of the Belladonna Henna design for the Full Moon in August 2020. I am using Lady's Mantle infused oil to remove the paste.

This paste contains Lawsonia inermis (Henna) powder, lemon juice and honey. It is very gooey, which makes for a stringy Henna ideal for draping designs. Honey also serves as a humectant, holding moisture in the paste and allowing it to dry slowly.

In this bonus video, Nam Joti demonstrates her cone making process.

In Module 1, Nam Joti will take you on a journey through time and place as we explore the medicinal, cosmetics, historical and magical properties of Henna.
