Without the proper filter your astro-modded camera won't be much better than a stock DSLR. In this video I'll share some of the best filters available that will showcase the beautiful h-alpha nebulosity in the night sky

Now that you have an astro-modded camera you may want to invest in a better Milky Way lens. There's a lot to choose from though, and this can be one of the most difficult gear decisions you make.

The first night with new gear is always the most difficult, you need to troubleshoot multiple problems that will inevitably appear. Hopefully this isn't your first and only clear night for a while...

Once your camera arrives you'll need to figure out a new custom white balance, install a new memory card, update the firmware, and get your general settings configured.
